Vancouver to Paris > here we go again…..

September 2nd

Got to the airport allegedly way early…..but upon checking noticed that our flight to Toronto was going to be delayed….leaving about 30 minutes to make the connection to Paris. Air Canada said it should be no problem (although when booking we were told 1 hr connection time is minimum)….so we stood our ground and eventually they put us on standby for an earlier flight…in the end all worked out and we made the flight. Celebrated by having several wines enroute…..arrived tired in Paris (Charles de Gaulle).

The rental car pick-up (actually a Renault lease) was smooth and we drove off only to return immediately as more explanation was needed for the GPS etc…. Only a short drive given the long day/nite we had put in:

However, we gaffed from the get go, missing an exit and had a bit of a drive around >> only minor screaming by all concerned …..just slightly jet lagged,haha!! All in all a nice drive to Samoreau, our overnite and we got to the gate of the Gite on the first try >>> owner waved us in and all was good.

Passed on supper out and instead had leftover sandwiches and wine.
