USA Roadtrip Day 13….. Tremonton UT to Kennewick,WA

Categories USA 2017.....the mother of all road trips

Another nice day….but the North is starting to intrude…it is COOL……today no agenda except to drive…..about 8.5 hours, 550 miles (861 kms) with no sightseeing stops !!! The objective is Kennewick, WA. Mostly a decent day of driving, little traffic to speak of and although we had some rain our path veered away, leaving us with sunny conditions…….met up with a convoy of antique cars …not all the old cars are in Cuba:

Lots of ranching, farming, orchards and vineyards (much like the Okanogan Valley in B.C.) > totally dependent on irrigation….

After reaching the hotel (largest room of the trip and decent price) and checking the weather the game plan is changed for tomorrow. Rather than going to Mt. Rainier National Park for a look-see and short hike, we opt to head to the coast and Whideby Island >>> the forecast is for snow showers, given that we have become desert wusses, the decision is a no-brainer…cut and run!!

A short entry but there is not much more to say…had a very nice Thai dinner and headed to bed.
